Great Basin Behavioral Health

As many as 34% of adults will have experienced an anxiety disorder in their lifetimes.  The good news is, when working with well a trained clinical team, anxiety is not only the most common mental health condition, but the most treatable as well.

The Anxiety Treatment Center of Nevada is part of Great Basin Behavioral Health, a locally owned and operated mental health agency that is committed to the Reno/Tahoe community.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

When we say all of our staff are professionally trained, we mean it.  100% of our core Anxiety Treatment staff are trained in CBT through The Beck Institute.  Why Beck?  Because Aaron T. Beck invented Cognitive Therapy in the 1960's, which is the most widely researched and empirically validated treatment for anxiety disorders.  Period.

CBT helps people re-learn how to respond to negative, anxiety provoking thoughts and learn a new way to engage fully in life, one day at a time.  CBT takes all the automatic thoughts that cause anxiety and help the client learn how to make sense of it all... and do something different.

Our Clinical Team

It begins with the right training...

100% of our Core Treatment Team has been trained by the source.  Literally!  We endorse Cognitive Therapy, as devised by Aaron T. Beck, MD, in the 1960's.

As a condition of being part of our team, we require all of our clinical staff to be trained by The Beck Institute in at least one area of concentration, including the treatment of anxiety disorders.

This investment yields improved continuity throughout the program and agency and allows or improved outcomes that matter.
